Meet James Seargeant our very own dedicated Activities Coordinator
After 25 years in the hospitality industry which took me to the USA, South Africa and the French Alps I moved to Jersey. I love my job and I love helping people remain active and engaged with a wide range of activities.
br>Every person is an individual with their own hobbies and backgrounds. That’s why I am happy to cater for each resident and their own particular interests.
br>I see myself as the social manager or concierge and think of the residents more as guests. Whilst I am always looking for new ways to entertain, I will always allow the residents to lead me with what activities they would like to do.
br>We have a very wide and varied range of activities at the home. Many of the residents enjoy the trips out for lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea. We also run special events such as race and cultural days, wine tastings and gardening.
br>I also run exercise classes and quizzes with a focus to keep the residents sharp in body and mind.
